Education has always been at the heart of Catholic mission. When the early missionaries came to Nigeria, they didn't just bring the Gospel, they built schools. Every Catholic Church established in the Diocese of Ijebu-Ode came with a Catholic school, laying a foundation that shaped generations and produced over 45 schools with Catholic foundations across the Diocese.

These schools serve children from diverse religious and cultural backgrounds. More non-Catholic students are enrolled than Catholic — by design. The goal is to instill values of peace, religious tolerance, and mutual respect in communities that are richly diverse.
Reclaiming our School
Many families in the communities we serve cannot afford school fees. The Diocese works to accommodate these children, providing basics, support, and scholarships so that no child is turned away for lack of resources. This work is difficult without consistent funding — and that is where you come in.
